Marta Perapoch Amadó
Marta is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow working in the STAARS (Studying Autism and ADHD in the eaRly yearS) project, researching the early development of baby brothers and sisters of children with autism, attention deficit disorders and typical development. Prior to that, she completed her PhD at UEL, supervised by Sam Wass. Her research aimed to investigate the development of both emotion and attention regulation during the first 15 months of life, and the role that the parents play in this development.
Before starting her PhD, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Barcelona and a Master’s degree in Neuroscience at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She then moved to Cardiff to work in the Sleep Lab at the Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre (CUBRIC), and then Cambridge, to work at the Cambridge Baby Lab as a Research Assistant in The Brain Imaging for Global Health (BRIGHT) project.
