Before beginning her PhD, Elena collaborated as a Research Assistant at the “0-3 Center for the At-Risk Infant” at the E. Medea Research Institute within the Bosisio Parini Hospital, where she developed projects focusing on the mother-infant relationship in the context of neurodevelopmental disorders.

Prior to this, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychological Sciences and Techniques and a Master’s degree in Clinical, Developmental Psychology, and Neuropsychology at the University of Milano-Bicocca.
